Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of www.tourdeoregon.com and related services (the “Services”), operated for Oregon Tour de Outback, presented by the Lake County Chamber of Commerce (“we,” “us,” or “our”). By using the Services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old, or use the Services under the supervision of a parent or legal guardian, to create an account or make a donation.
2. Accounts
When you create an account, you agree to provide accurate information and to keep your login credentials secure. You are responsible for activity that occurs under your account. Notify us promptly at info@tourdeoutback.org if you suspect unauthorized use.
3. Donations
- Donations are voluntary and are processed securely through Stripe.
- Recurring (monthly) donations continue until you cancel. You may cancel anytime through your account’s billing portal; cancellation stops future charges but does not refund past ones.
- Donations are generally non-refundable. If you believe a donation was made in error, contact us and we will work with you in good faith.
- The Lake County Chamber of Commerce is a 501(c)(6) organization. Contributions are not tax-deductible as charitable contributions, but may be deductible as ordinary and necessary business expenses. Please consult your tax advisor.
4. Event Registration
Event registration is handled in-house by the Oregon Tour de Outback and is subject to the event’s registration and refund policies. Participation in the cycling event is subject to any additional waivers and rules provided at registration.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to misuse the Services, including by attempting to disrupt the site, access accounts or data that aren’t yours, submit false information, or use the Services for unlawful purposes. Communications through our chat and other channels must be lawful and respectful.
6. Intellectual Property
The content on this site — including text, graphics, logos, and images — is owned by or licensed to us and is protected by applicable laws. You may not reproduce or distribute it without permission, except as reasonably necessary to use the Services.
7. Third-Party Services & Links
The Services integrate or link to third-party services (such as Stripe and Google). We are not responsible for the content or practices of those third parties, and your use of them is governed by their own terms and policies.
8. Assumption of Risk
Cycling and participation in the event involve inherent risks. Any event participation is subject to the separate waivers, releases, and rules provided during registration. Nothing on this website constitutes medical, safety, or professional advice.
9. Disclaimers
The Services are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. We do not warrant that the Services will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we and the Lake County Chamber of Commerce will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Services. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Services will not exceed the amount you paid to us, if any, in the 12 months before the claim.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Oregon Tour de Outback and the Lake County Chamber of Commerce from claims arising out of your misuse of the Services or violation of these Terms.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Oregon, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Any disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Lake County, Oregon.
13. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated version will be posted here with a new “Last updated” date, and your continued use of the Services means you accept the changes.
